From this interview with MB comes several promising tidbits:
[MB] launches his own e-commerce operation later this year, and once his business gets just a bit bigger, a fragrance and his own brick-and-mortar store will be (his fingers are crossed at this point) in the cards. “At a certain point this is a brand,” he says. “It’s got to be bigger than me as one little person. We have a lane, and it’s a good lane, and want to drive faster down that lane.”
Of course, MB did create a fragrance during his time at Bill Blass, but it was not widely available. He has also experimented with a physical location, albeit pop-up style, that perhaps offers some clues as to what a Michael Bastian space would look like.
Here’s to the future!
